Biography Curriculum Vitae - David Schockenhoff David joined the EMEA macroeconomic consultancy of Oxford Economics in 2015. He is engaged in a variety of bespoke consultancy projects, including large-scale modelling and scenario projects. From 2018, he will focus on our MidEast business working from Oxford Economics’ Dubai offices. Over the past years, David has been involved in creating bespoke databases and forecasts for bilateral goods and services trade. He has also contributed to the Oxford Economics Global Scenario Services, by analysing trade scenarios related to Brexit and a rebound in world trade. Moreover, he has analysed the impact of different NAFTA and Brexit outcomes on the global economy. David is also involved in maintaining and developing bespoke macroeconomic models, including oil demand models for OPEC, an Italian trade model for SACE and detailed macroeconomic models for Ghana, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. Prior to joining Oxford Economics, David gained experience as a Research Assistant with the German central bank, where he evaluated data for stress-testing scenarios and capital regulation projects, and with the Economics and Trade section of the UN Environment Programme. David holds a Master degree in Economics from Barcelona Graduate School of Economics and a B.A. in Economics from the University of St.Gallen. His main research interests encompass a variety of global trade-related issues ranging from tariff and non-tariff policies to economic development. |
