"GTAP 7 Release Candidate 2: Trade by mode of export" by McDougall, Robert Abstract This updates to release candidate 2 for GTAP 7 the data for trade by mode of export first released for 7pre2. The file shows trade indexed by commodity, source, destination, and mode of export. Commodities are the standard GTAP commodities. Sources and destinations are the standard GTAP countries, together with a fictitious entity "ZZB", "international margin services broker". Mode of export is "cross", cross-border trade, or "trav", travelers' expenditures. Values are millions of US dollars. Merchandise commodities are recorded at FOB values. Exports of margin services, including both international freight transport and Hong Kong reexport margins, are shown as sales to "ZZB", and imports of margin services as purchases from "ZZB". The data derive from an intermediate stage in the construction of the prerelease, and do not incorporate the energy commodity adjustments. |
