"GTAP 8 Data Base Documentation - Chapter 7.B: China" by Yu, Liu and Li Xiangyang Abstract The China I-O table in the GTAP 8 Data Base is constructed from key 2007 I-O table published by National Bureau of Statistics of China (NBS) and some other data sources, for example, HS 10-digit international trade data from China Customs and Yearbook of China Agricultural Products Processing Industries. The original I-O table doesn’t have “multi-product” sector. After some adjustments, the data tables are reclassified and re-balanced to provide the matrices required by GTAP. The format of GTAP tables that we submit is the original version, the second type of permitted format. Many Mark’s methods are used in updating data base process, and here we give many thanks to Mark Horridge. |
