"GTAP 8.1 Data Base Documentation - Chapter 7: Colombia" by Céspedes Rangel, Erick and Gabriel Piraquive Galeano Abstract This document describes the procedures used to obtain an updated input-output matrix for Colombia, which were previously provided to GTAP by Echavarría and Arbeláez (1998), Guerrero (2002) and Perdomo (2006, 2008). With these efforts, it has been possible to continue with an updated database, and thus to maintain the pillars of the CGE models for analysis of trade liberalization and other trade reforms, one of these models is the Multicounty developed by Light and Rutherford (2003) which is based on the updated GTAP database and is used by the Colombian National Planning Department –Directorate of Economic Studies (DNP-DEE). |
