"Agricultural policy and covid-19 in Colombia"
by Jiménez Giraldo, Dora Elena and Adrián Saldarriaga-Isaza

Abstract
This article measures the impact of economic policies focused on the agricultural sector decreed by the Colombian government within the framework of the State of Economic, Social and Ecological Emergency in order to mitigate the negative effects of the pandemic in this sector. The agricultural sector plays an important role in the economy, not only its high demand for labor but also in terms of food security. In general, we find that this set of policies increases the agricultural production units that receive the incentives, also increasing disposable income and consumption of rural households to pre-covid levels.
