"CHALLENGES IN GREENING THE ECONOMIES: A CGE ANALYSIS OF THE INFLATION REDUCTION ACT (IRA)"
by Suarez-Cuesta, David and Maria Latorre

Abstract
The TERM model for the United States is used to analyze the long-term economic impact of the Inflation Reduction Act. Market clearing and accounting equations allow the 26 industries to be represented as an integrated framework; labor adjusts to accommodate investment in the climate-related industries and federal healthcare spending increases, and private consumption shrinks as a result of the tax increases. We concluded that the deficit reduction estimated for this plan would effectively reduce inflation (CPI), but the domestic stimulus from the investments would counteract this effect, nullifying the previous effect.
