"Chapter 8H: Republic of Korea" by Ko, Jong-Hwan Abstract This chapter describes the procedure and considerations underlying the construction of the Korean input-output (I-O) table for the Global Trade Analysis Project (GTAP) Data Base version 12. The document is organized as follows. Section 2 provides a short description of the general character-istics of the Korean I-O table. Section 3 shows how the Korean I-O table is mapped to the GTAP concordance. Section 4 explains how negative values in the initial Korean I-O table are adjusted, and Section 5 shows how commodity taxes on domestic products and imports are calculated. The final section mentions information not available from the Korean I-O table. |
