"Finding the Sweet Spot: Carbon Pricing, Industrial Decarbonization, and the Impact of the CBAM in Indonesia" Authors: Wardhana, Ardhi Abstract The European Union’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (EU CBAM) is the first climate and trade nexus policy designed as a carbon-based tariff on imports to prevent carbon leakage. This policy is also intended to level the playing field between EU producers and foreign competitors, to incentivize decarbonization, and to accelerate the adoption of domestic carbon pricing in trading partners. |
