GTAP Data Bases: Updating an Existing region?
If you are updating an existing region it is recommended that you examine the existing documentation of the I-O table you are contributing. A table containing the latest source information for the I-O tables is available.In order to assist us with our checking procedures we request that you provide a brief summary outlining how your contribution improves the I-O table currently being used in the GTAP Data Base. Improvements could include: the use of more recent data or improved procedures for converting the data into the GTAP format.
Your I-O table may be compared with the I-O table already incorporated into the GTAP Data Base. If so you will be asked to comment on any differences between the two tables. In most cases we find that differences reflect the improvements made to the I-O table or, if a new year has been used, structural changes in the economy.
