Biography
Lucas Ferraz is Professor of Economics at the São Paulo School of Economics (EESP) from Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV). He holds a B.D. and M.D. in engineering from the Polytechnic School (POLI) at the University of São Paulo (USP). He received his PhD in Economics from Getúlio Vargas Foundation Graduate School of Economics (FGV/EPGE), after spending over two years developing research projects as well as taking PhD level courses at European universities such as The University of Amsterdam, The University of Brussels, The University of Antwerp, Université Catholique de Louvain (Louvain-la-Neuve) and The Catholic University of Leuven. He is currently the Head of Economic Modeling at the Centre for Global Trade and Investment (EESP-FGV), Founding member of the BRICS-TERN research network and Modeling coordinator of the WTO's Chair program in Brazil. His areas of interest are CGE models, PTAs, Global Value Chains, Non tariff barriers and trade Infrastructure.
