"Implications of Tax and Energy Policy for US Food and Agriculture: A Multiregional, Applied General Equilibrium Approach"
by Tsigas, Marinos

Abstract
This paper analyzes the implications of tax reform and electric utility restructuring with a focus on U.S. food and agriculture, within a multi-regional, economy-wide framework. The framework divides the U.S. into several regions; a rest-of-the world region represents foreign economies. The motivation underlying a multi-regional, applied general equilibrium framework is that there are significant regional dimensions to many national policy initiatives, and that region-specific policies are likely to have significant impacts in other U.S. regions.
