Biography Curriculum Vitae - James Lennox James Lennox is currently a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre of Policy Studies in Melbourne, Australia. His current main research interest is in urban economics and he is the main developer of CoPS' VU Cities spatial CGE modelling framework. VU Cities models households' discrete choices of residential and workplace locations within a spatially detailed general equilibrium framework. City models developed in this framework are ideally suited to address transport, land use planning and related urban policy questions. Prior to joining CoPS, James held a Marie Curie Fellowship at the Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM) in Venice. His research at FEEM concerned climate policy, capital investments and technical change. James has also worked for Landcare Research, NZ, where he led applied economic research on climate and other policies. This included development of a global integrated assessment modelling framework for New Zealand. From 2001-2005 he worked for the CSIRO in Canberra, Australia. He holds a PhD (2001) and a BE with first class honours (1997) in chemical engineering from the University of Queensland, Australia. The emphasis of his doctoral research was on mathematical and statistical modeling of engineering processes. |
