Biography Curriculum Vitae - Dr. Amit Kumar Biswas Academic Particulars: PhD: October 7, 2005. PhD with UGC fellowship in International Trade at the CSSS, Calcutta. Thesis Title: Policy Induced Distortions in Official Trade Statistic: Theory, Measurements and Corrections. PhD Supervisor: Dr. Sugata Marjit, RBI Professor of Industrial Economics. Master Degree in Economics from the University of Kalyani in 1997 and stood First Class First. Awards: • Winner of Humboldt Fellowship (28 months) for Post-Doctoral Research in Germany. • UGC Fellowship to pursue Doctoral Studies. • Travel Grant award for 5th GTAP conference at Taipei. • One of the Gold Medal finalists at 4th GDN conference at Cairo. • Fellowship to attend GTAP short course at IGIDR, Mumbai.
