Biography Curriculum Vitae - Yohannes Hailu Dr. Hailu is Economic Affairs Officer with the UN Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), Sub-Regional Office for Eastern Africa. Dr. Hailu joined UNECA in November 2011, and since then have advanced the office's work in the area of energy sector support to member States in Eastern Africa, particularly in areas of energy access, security and planning. Prior to joining UNECA, Mr. Hailu was an Assistant Professor at Michigan State University, where he served as Associate Director of Research at the Land Policy Institute and Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Agriculture, Food and Resource Economics. Mr. Hailu holds a B.A. Degree in Economics and Finance from Asmara University in Eritrea, and M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Natural Resources Economics from West Virginia University. |
