Biography Curriculum Vitae - Saadatou Alkassoum Sangare Saadatou Alkassoum Sangaré holds a PhD in development economics and is a senior researcher. Her doctoral work focused on poverty dynamics in Niger, based on pseudo-panel analysis for the period 1992–1998. This thesis followed a Master's degree in development economics and socioeconomics, specializing in applied macroeconomics, obtained in 2005 as part of the Interuniversity Program for Advanced Training in Economics (PTCI). Its research activity revolves around issues relating to employment, trade liberalization, agricultural development, natural resources and poverty. Since 2018, she has extended her field of analysis towards participatory action research with several working documents to her credit on the aspirations of young people in Niger, those of women, the perceptions and educational expectations of Nigeriens, and youth entrepreneurship in Niger. In 2023, she collaborated with Steve Wiggins and Peter Newborne on the production of Green Jobs in Agrifood Systems: Setting a Vision for Youth in the Sahel, an FAO publication. Since 2017, Saadatou Alkassoum Sangaré has held the position of head of the studies and research department of the National Institute for Research and Analysis of Public Policies in Niger, attached to the Prime Minister's office, where his mission consists of carrying out or directing research to help decision-making |
