since 2007: Professor for Agricultural Policy, International Agricultural Markets and Agribusiness at the University of Applied Sciences Weihenstephan (near Munich)
2005-2006: Consultant
2001-2004: Ph.D. candidate at Hohenheim University, Institute for Agricultural Economics and Social Sciences in the Tropics and Subtropics, Research work: International trade and its impact on food security with special emphasis on Southeast Asia (esp. Vietnam)
1998-2000: M.Sc. in International Agricultural Sciences at Humboldt University Berlin and Wageningen University (NL), Master thesis about "Food Security and the Developing Countries in the WTO Negotiations"
1996-1998: Work with a German Development NGO, German Agro Action, in the headquarter in Germany and in projects in Southern Africa
1991-1995: Business studies in Germany and France with focus on finance and organisation
