Biography
Curriculum Vitae - Mosab Ahmed
Mosab Ahmed is a Senior Research Assistant at the Development Strategies and Governance Unit (DSG) at the International Food Policy Research Institute. Mosab is a development economist with over 6 years of diverse experience in the field of economics. He holds a master’s degree in development economics from the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, Qatar (2019), and a BSc in Economics and Finance from the University of Khartoum, Sudan (2015). His research interests include fiscal federalism, demographic dividend, poverty reduction, agricultural economics, economic governance, and international trade. In his current role at IFPRI, he supports the collection and analysis of quantitative data, conducts literature reviews, and assists in drafting reports and research papers. He also coordinates projects and supports outreach activities. Prior to this, Mosab served as a Junior Economist with the economic advisory team of the Former Prime Minister in Sudan. And a Research Consultant with Expertise France. He is also a Research Affiliate with the Economic Research Forum (ERF) and has been awarded a research grant by the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC). Mosab is also a Lecturer of Economics in the Department of Economics at the University of Khartoum, where he instructs courses in Microeconomics, Development Economics, and Economic Data Analysis.
