Biography
Mgeni Msafiri holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and Statistics (2012), a master’s degree in Agricultural Statistics (2018), and is currently an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Dodoma and a PhD (Economics) candidate at the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. She is also a researcher at REPOA, Tanzania. She has been actively involved in various research employing computable general equilibrium models, microsimulation models, and econometric approaches for almost 10 years. She has also participated in various trainings ranging from macroeconomic modelling to policy and applied quantitative analysis. Mgeni participated in research projects on agri-food policy, fiscal policy, gender, economic diplomacy, and international trade.
